30 October 2025, Hong Kong – Prudential plc (“Prudential”) today announced that Regional CEO John Cai will leave the company on 31 October 2025 for personal reasons. Prudential plc CEO Anil Wadhwani and the Prudential team thank John for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavours.
To ensure a seamless transition, the company has reshaped leadership responsibilities and as a result, Regional CEO, Naveen Tahilyani will expand his remit to now have responsibility for the Southeast Asian markets of Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, along with India and Africa. He will also have functional leadership for Agency and Health.
These changes build on Naveen’s deep experience working for insurance and global companies where he led large-scale transformation initiatives across multiple markets and distribution channels. His agency experience includes leading the more than tenfold expansion of an agency force in India, taking the organisation from ranking 17th to 3rd on retail weighted new business, setting new industry benchmarks for productivity, profitability, MDRT representation and customer experience.
Dennis Tan, Regional CEO for Singapore, Thailand and Partnership Distribution, will have additional responsibility for Vietnam and the Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar cluster.
Angel Ng, Regional CEO for Greater China, Customer, Wealth and Product, continues her existing remit.
