Prudence Foundation unveils new educational content with SAFE STEPS Kids and Decode with Prudence
Prudence Foundation is proud to announce the launch of new educational content in its SAFE STEPS Kids and Decode with Prudence programmes. These initiatives are designed to educate both adults and younger generations, empowering them with the knowledge and tools needed to be more resilient and manage life’s risks effectively.
The SAFE STEPS Kids programme addresses critical health challenges faced by children in two new episodes:
educates children about the risks they may encounter whilst online for learning. It aims to bring awareness to protect them from abusive behaviours that exploit their innocence, underscoring important learnings based around a news report by the World Health Organisation published in 2022 that documents strategies to protect children against online violence.
highlights the importance of a balanced diet in combatting malnutrition and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. With obesity rates increasing across many regions globally, understanding nutrition has become more than ever crucial for maintaining good health.
Both episodes are developed in partnership with the with Cartoon Network, and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and are available on the SAFE STEPS Kids website.
The ‘Decode with Prudence’ series focuses on addressing current issues to inspire actions for a better and more resilient future. The latest installment, the second episode in the series, highlights the issue of air pollution.
According to the World Health Organisation, air pollution is responsible for approximately 6.7 million deaths in 2019, making it the second leading cause of NCDs globally, after tobacco. This episode examines the health impacts of air pollution and offers practical steps individuals can take to protect themselves.
Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the latest episode is available on the Decode with Prudence website and Prudence Foundation’s Youtube channel.
Prudence Foundation remains committed to fostering a safer and more informed community through these educational efforts and inspire action amongst individuals and communities to be more resilient in the face of risks.
