Safe Schools featured in a new film series by the World Health Organisation
Prudence Foundation’s Safe Schools programme with Save the Children has been featured as an episode in a new digital film series, 'Healthier Together: A Path to a Better World', created for the World Health Organisation by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions.
The WHO Foundation through their film series aims to reframe public perceptions and inspire active participation in promoting a new ecosystem of health. It explores health challenges and opportunities across the world by showcasing organisations and partners ranging from businesses to foundations, and the role and impact they play in improving global health.
Safe Schools is a programme focused on making students, teachers and the local community more resilient to natural disasters. Watch the episode and hear from Principal Madam Edgie and Dyden, a student from Bancal Integrated School about their experience when Typhoon Yolanda struck in 2013, and how the school emerged more resilient and prepared in the face of climate change and health pandemics.
