24 September 2026, Hong Kong – Prudential plc (“Prudential”) today announced the appointment of Naveed Irshad as Regional CEO for Indonesia, the Philippines and Africa, effective 26 October 2026.
Naveed will also take enterprise-wide responsibility for the Health and Product businesses and will join Prudential’s Group Executive Committee. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Chief Executive Officer Anil Wadhwani.
Naveed brings more than three decades of insurance and financial services experience across Asia and North America, with deep expertise in actuarial, product development, distribution, reinsurance and global in-force management, as well as driving customer-led solutions and growth. He has a strong track record of leading large teams and developing senior talent.
Naveed joins us from Manulife where he was most recently President and CEO of Canada. Other senior roles at Manulife included Global Head of In-force Management and President and CEO of Manulife Singapore. He also held leadership positions at RGA.
