It’s not just heat

Extreme heat is becoming a growing risk across many parts of Asia - especially for people who work outdoors or in hot and poorly ventilated environments. Construction workers, delivery riders, farmers, street vendors, and others often have no choice but to stay active even as temperatures rise.

But heat is not just uncomfortable. Prolonged exposure can place serious strain on the body and, if ignored, can quickly become dangerous.

This video is a public awareness campaign supported by Prudence Foundation and Warner Bros. Discovery, to help people exposed to extreme heat, including their families better understand heat stress, recognize early warning signs, and seek appropriate action.

Pay attention to heat stress

Heat stress happens when the body struggles to regulate its temperature effectively. Common warning signs may include dizziness, excessive sweating, nausea, headaches, muscle cramps, or confusion. Left unaddressed, heat stress can escalate and increase the risk of heat exhaustion or heat stroke if not addressed.

In many cases, serious outcomes are preventable. Early recognition and simple actions can make a critical difference.

A collective effort for safer communities

Through short explainer videos and visual content distributed across Southeast Asia, the campaign aims to reach those most exposed to extreme heat with clear, accessible guidance. By combining Prudence Foundation’s focus on climate and health resilience with Warner Bros. Discovery’s storytelling reach, the campaign seeks to encourage safer behaviours and greater awareness - grounded in real, everyday situations.

As temperatures continue to rise, understanding heat stress is not optional. It’s a matter of health, safety, and preparedness.

Know the signs.

Stay aware. Stay resilient.
