What is SAFE STEPS D-Tech?

SAFE STEPS D-Tech is a global platform that finds, funds, and supports innovative technology solutions that help save lives before, during, and after disaster events. The initiative is part of Prudence Foundation’s broader mission to build safer, more resilient communities across Asia and Africa.

Key Themes at the D-Tech Awards 2025

This year, the competition focuses on two critical themes:

  • Climate and Health, referring to scalable technologies that help predict, prepare for, and respond to these crises while strengthening long-term public health resilience.
  • Smart Resilience, referring to solutions that use real-time data and predictive tools to help governments, responders, and citizens collaborate and build adaptive disaster management systems.

What’s Next?

On 11 June 2025, the finalists will present their innovations live in Echelon 2025 Singapore, Asia’s leading tech conference. The D-Tech Awards Finals event will also be streamed online on Prudence Foundation platforms, giving global audiences a chance to witness the next wave of disaster resilience technology.

A panel of industry, investment, and humanitarian experts will evaluate the finalists, and winners will be awarded cash prizes from pool of USD150k in value.
