Spanning three years, the 5SK initiative aims to embed critical safety and preparedness education into Malaysia’s national school curriculum. By equipping students, teachers, and communities with life-saving knowledge – from disaster risk reduction and first aid to climate change adaptation and mental well-being – this programme is a vital step toward building resilient learning environments that strengthen future generations.
At Prudence Foundation, building community resilience is central to our mission. This project helps ensure young people are better protected in the face of today’s evolving risks and builds on the success of the SAFE STEPS Kids programme and reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing climate and health resilience across Asia and Africa.
